My practice is a synthesis of material exploration — drawing textural, color, and light inspiration from the natural world — with the study of figuration in its most elemental form. Below are some experiments and foundational studies that inform my broader practice.
/ co-creation studies
These are material experiments in working with elements of nature — fire, soil, and water —to compose a visual story that better captures the essence of place.

/ botanical impressions
These works are the result of experiments in working with bio-available materials to sustain art practice. They were made using botanical dyes such as red cabbage and nettle; foraged fibers from linen and flax; and reclaimed scraps of paper, cloth and string.

Occasionally a spirit comes through and needs something to be said, though I have no interpretation other than the visual one.
